Senior Rate Discount Program

 

The senior rate discount was established in February of 2022 to help maintain livability of the members of the community in the face of rising costs of living by providing a discount on the base rate of the water and sewer monthly service charges to residents meeting certain requirements of age, disability, or financial situation. 

 

To qualify for the program, you must be a natural person, customer of the utility, and resident who is:

1. Permanently disabled, or
2. Enrolled in a federal or state financial assistance program, or
3. Maintain his or her primary residence within the Town for at least the last 10 years and is 62 years of age or older

 

Qualified applicants will receive a discount from the Town in an amount equal to 50% of the base rate service charge.  To apply, download or print the application form provided below and submit to the Town of Crested Butte via email to cbfinanace@crestedbutte-co.gov, the drop box outside Town Hall, or by mail to PO BOX 39, Crested Butte, CO 81224.

Applications must be received by the 20^th of the month for the discount to take effect that month. If application is received after the 20^th, the discount will begin on the following month’s bill.
