Tree Removal Permit Application

Instructions:

  1. Please complete the application below if you wish to remove a tree that has a trunk diameter of two inches (2”) or more when measured at four feet six inches (4’-6”) from ground level.
  2. Please submit this completed application to the Building Department with a check in the amount of $25.00 payable to the Town of Crested Butte.
  3. Please mark all proposed trees for removal with orange flagging.  Town staff will do a site visit to evaluate existing trees on the property.

Please note that this is a newly passed Ordinance and Article 15 of Chapter 16 found in the online code is not yet up to date.  The current code can be found in the document below.
