Community Grant Program

The Town of Crested Butte supports the community by providing financial and/or staff resources to nonprofit organizations for special projects and programs that supplement municipal government operations and/or enhance quality of life for the community.

Community Grants are awarded on a biannual basis with cycles every spring and fall. Please note that grant requests will only be accepted during the application window for each cycle. Budget decisions and, in general, the allocation of approved funds for specific projects are made by Town Council at their discretion in an open meeting.

Spring Grant Cycle
Application Window: February 15th - March 30th
The application window for the Spring Grant Cycle opens on February 15th and closes on March 30th every year. Grant requests for the Spring Grant Cycle will not be accepted outside of these dates.

Timeline

February 15th: Application window opens
March 30th: Submission deadline. All grant requests must be received by the Finance Department by March 30th to be considered for the Spring Grant Cycle.
Mid to Late June (no later than June 30th): Town Council makes final award decisions and recipients are notified.

Fall Grant Cycle
Application Window: August 15th - September 30th
The application window for the Fall Grant Cycle opens on August 15th and closes on September 30th every year. Grant requests for the Fall Grant Cycle will not be accepted outside of these dates.

Organizations that are awarded grant funding must submit this form upon completion of the project/program to request payment of funds. Supporting documentation such as copies of paid invoices, budgets, etc. should be submitted along with this form to demonstrate use of the funds.
