Readiness for Electric Vehicles (REV) Plan

Electric Vehicles (EV's) are shifting the Colorado vehicle market, and the Town of Crested Butte needs to ensure that it can accommodate this shift in a strategic way that is aligned with its mobility goals. In 2024, The Town of Crested Butte and Town of Mt. Crested Butte embarked on the development of a joint, Readiness for Electric Vehicles (REV) Plan to inform how the growing EV market could impact the northern Gunnison Valley and identify charging strategies to support the two jurisdiction's vision for EV management. Both Town Councils have adopted the plan as of April 7th, 2025! Funding for this plan was secured through a partnership application to the Colorado Energy Office's Local Government Electric Vehicle Readiness Planning Grant. This plan will ensure that Mt. Crested Butte and Crested Butte are considering how best to adapt to electric vehicles as one region rather than two separate communities. Both Town Councils have adopted the plan as of April 7th, 2025!
