Street Maintenance

The streets, alleys, shoulders and parking lots are maintained by the Streets Division of the Public Works Department. Activities that the department performs on a yearly basis include crack sealing, pothole filling, grading, drainage, curb painting, signage upgrades and maintenance, crosswalks and dust retardant. The Town attempts to mount a major street upgrade project roughly every 5 years. This project might be the re-construction of existing streets within the Town or the construction of new streets. These projects are paid for by a special property tax mil levy that is dedicated to the upkeep and construction of the Town’s streets and alleys.
